It wasn't the fact that I was going to be a mom in 8 months that scared me but the fact that I had to tell the daddy to be. Even more scarier than that, my parents. The dad took it very well. He wasn't really planning on having children for quite a few more years but he has been the absolute most supportive person I could ever ask to have in my corner during this roller coaster of life.
I had never had to tell my parents anything like that before. Surprisingly enough, they both took the news extremely well. My mom was actually excited cause she gets to be the "hot grandma" now since she thinks she is too old to be a "hot mom". My dad, I was even more scared to tell cause well he is my dad and I am his little girl, "what dad would be okay with that?" I thought. Like my mom he took the news very well. I can't say he is as excited as I am, but he is okay with it.
Every one else I didn't really care if they approve or not cause it doesn't effect them so why should they be upset with me? Most people, once they new I was excited, were very happy for me! I only got a few negative reactions, but I just shrugged their opinions off cause I wont let other people negativity bring us down.
Everything else with my pregnancy has been surprisingly easy! I haven't had any morning sickness at all really. Every now and then I get slightly nauseous, especially early mornings but other than that nothing!! I was having trouble sleeping the first few weeks and that was taking a toll, especially while at work. Other than that I was actually doing better health wise than before! I was having high blood pressure issues and more often than it should have been and I was actually at the point of seeing a specialist about it when I found out about being pregnant. Well my blood pressure has been perfectly normal so I would say this has actually been a good thing for me!!
After a few weeks tho my doctor told me I should see a endocrinologist because my thyroid levels weren't normal. This wasn't much of a surprise for me tho cause the same thing happened to my mother when she was pregnant with me and I new some point in life I will probably have the same issues. After my doctor appointment they precised me with some medication to regulate it and ever since then things have been almost 100% great! I can finally sleep and have a more normal sleep schedule!
We had our second doctors appointment a few days ago and I was about 11 weeks and we got to hear the heart beat and it was exciting! At first the dad didn't know what he was hearing and he thought it was just my heart beat until we told him it was the baby. It was kinda funny how shocked he was cause he hadn't been to my previous appointment and is still kind of clueless about the ins and outs of pregnancy. He is learning tho and is very excited, he is already planning things he wants to do with him/her once they are here.
Well that is about it for now, kinda a brief summary of the past few months but I plan to post regularly from now on, I was waiting till I was further along cause I didn't wanna start something I would have to end too early.... I haven't really kept a blog or anything of the sort really so if any one has tips about them they are much appreciated and baby advice is even more welcome!! Thanks for reading!!!
Ps. I am new to all this so if my blog isn't that great, I'm sorry I'm trying! Ha ha
